> TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 12 April 2026 · Version 2026-04-12
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the VØIDNET platform (the “Service”), an open-source intelligence (OSINT) research environment operated by the VØIDNET project (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By creating an account, requesting a sign-in link, or otherwise accessing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
2. Description of the Service
VØIDNET aggregates publicly available information and data from third-party intelligence sources to assist researchers, analysts and security professionals in performing lawful OSINT investigations. The Service may surface data including, without limitation: domain and IP metadata, DNS records, public profiles, references to leaked credentials, and on-chain activity for cryptocurrency addresses.
The Service is provided as a tool. We do not generate, validate or certify the underlying data and we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for any particular purpose.
3. Account & authentication
Access to the Service requires authentication via a one-time email sign-in link (“magic link”). You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. We will treat anyone who can prove control of your email address as authorised to access the corresponding VØIDNET account. Sign-in links are single-use and expire fifteen (15) minutes after issuance.
You agree to provide accurate information, to keep it up to date, and not to impersonate another individual or entity.
4. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In particular, you agree not to use the Service to harass, stalk, dox, defame, surveil, harm or otherwise infringe the rights of any individual, nor to violate any law applicable to you or to the data subjects you investigate. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis for every search you perform.
5. Third-party data sources
The Service queries third-party data providers and public sources to enrich your searches. We do not control these sources, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for any errors, omissions or unlawful material they may contain. Your use of such third-party data is subject to any applicable terms imposed by those providers.
5.bis · About the data
- VØIDNET does not knowingly participate in obtaining, exfiltrating or distributing data. We do not know how upstream sources acquired the data they expose. All information surfaced through the Service is derived from public or publicly disclosed sources, including data already in the public domain following past security incidents.
- VØIDNET strictly prohibits the bulk extraction, aggregation, mirroring, scraping, redistribution or resale of data accessed through the Service, under any circumstance. The Service is intended to support lookup-style investigations on identifiers you have a lawful basis to investigate, not to populate third-party datasets.
- Neither VØIDNET nor any of its operators or contributors are responsible for the actions, decisions or outcomes of users who consult the Service. You are solely accountable for what you do with any information you obtain.
- Some data is ingested automatically from upstream feeds and cached only for operational purposes. Neither VØIDNET nor any of its operators are responsible for the content of that data, and we have no relationship with its original authors, collectors or distributors.
- Neither VØIDNET nor any of its operators are responsible for the functionality, the availability or the actions of any external resource that links to, embeds, mirrors or otherwise relies on the Service.
- The presence of European personal data in the Service is incidental: Europe is part of the Internet, and incidents and public datasets that occurred online may include European individuals. The Service does not specifically curate or target a European audience, nor does it actively profile European data subjects.
- If you believe specific information surfaced by the Service should not be there (e.g. you are the data subject and you have a lawful right to erasure), contact privacy@vøidnet.app and we will assess your request under the procedures described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual property
VØIDNET source code is published under its own open-source licence; refer to the repository for details. Trademarks, branding, the user interface and any documentation provided through the Service remain the property of their respective owners and may not be used without prior written permission.
You retain ownership of any input you submit to the Service. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process that input for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VØIDNET, ITS CONTRIBUTORS OR OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR REPUTATION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including, where you act as a consumer, your statutory rights).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless VØIDNET, its contributors and operators from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law; or (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any privacy, data protection or intellectual property right.
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, or if continued access would expose us or other users to legal or security risk. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from within the Service or by contacting us.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will bump the version identifier shown above and may require you to accept the updated Terms the next time you sign in. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules grant you the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence.
13. Contact
