Last updated: 12 April 2026 · Version 2026-04-12

VØIDNET is a research tool designed for lawful open-source intelligence (OSINT) investigations, defensive security work and authorised pentesting. This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) sets out the rules every user must follow. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access, deletion of your data, and where appropriate, referral to law-enforcement authorities.

1. You must have a lawful basis

You may only investigate identifiers (emails, usernames, IPs, domains, phone numbers, wallets, etc.) for which you have a clear lawful basis under the laws applicable to you and to the data subject. Examples of acceptable use include:

  • Investigating your own digital footprint.
  • Investigating your own organisation's assets and exposure.
  • Performing authorised penetration testing with documented scope and consent.
  • Conducting security research in good faith, in accordance with responsible-disclosure practices.
  • Investigating publicly disclosed threat actors as part of a CTI workflow.
  • Journalism and academic research that meets the public-interest test under your local law.

2. Prohibited use

You agree that you will not use the Service to:

  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, dox, defame or threaten any individual.
  • Re-identify, surveil or profile individuals without a lawful basis.
  • Build datasets of personal data for resale or for unsolicited commercial communication.
  • Discriminate against individuals on the basis of any protected characteristic.
  • Conduct unauthorised intrusions, exploit vulnerabilities, or probe systems you do not own or have permission to test.
  • Facilitate fraud, identity theft, account takeover, credential stuffing or any form of phishing.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, scraping protections or any other security control of the Service or of third-party data sources.
  • Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or that contains malware.
  • Violate any export-control, sanctions or anti-money-laundering law.
  • Use automated agents to mass-query the Service in a way that interferes with availability for other users.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of any non-public component of the Service.

3. Special categories of data

Some scans may surface data that, when combined, could reveal special categories of personal data under Article 9 GDPR (health, sexual orientation, political opinions, religious beliefs, etc.). You agree not to use such information to produce profiles of identified or identifiable individuals, unless you have an explicit lawful basis under Article 9 GDPR or equivalent local law.

4. Breach data

Some modules return references to credentials and personal data that have appeared in publicly known data breaches. This information is exposed to help users assess their own exposure and to support legitimate security research. You agree not to use this information to attempt to access, take over, or otherwise compromise any account, system or service. The presence of an identifier in a breach record does not grant you any right over the corresponding individual or account.

5. Reporting abuse

If you witness or experience misuse of the Service, please notify us immediately at abuse@vøidnet.app. Reports are reviewed on a best-effort basis. We may share reported content with law-enforcement authorities where required by law or where there is a risk to life.

6. Enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, suspend or terminate access for any user we reasonably believe to have breached this AUP or to have caused, or be likely to cause, harm to any individual, the Service or its users. Where appropriate, we may preserve and disclose data to competent authorities in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7. You are responsible for your queries

You are solely responsible for the inputs you submit and for the use you make of the results. By using the Service, you accept full legal responsibility for those queries and acknowledge that VØIDNET acts only as a technical intermediary executing the searches you request.
